In the early 1900`s Percy Waters was a well known tattoo artist who as well sold tattooing supplies through mail order catalogues.

Danny Fowler, of Roanoke, Virginia, was born on April 15, 1950. He passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at his home in Roanoke, Virginia.
Danny opened the first professional and licensed tattoo studio in the Roanoke Valley. Danny owned and operated Ancient Art Tattoo studio for 51 years, from day one to the day of his death. Danny is also the inventor of the first adjustable tattoo machine which he designed, manufactured, and sold all over the world.
