This tattoo artist travel trunk belong to Ted Nelson
This trunk held tattoo flash sheets from Ted’s days working the carnivals and state fairs in Iowa, 1970‘s.
Made in Chicago, Illinois by Artistic MFG. CO
Ted opened the first tattoo studio in Iowa, located in Des Moines,Iowa, a real pioneer of the time.
Ted Nelson was a tattooer also at Lake of the Ozarks for 28 years, known as Tattoo Ted. He had a career of 50 years tattooing all over the US.
He was a talented guitar and drum player and played for Loretta Lynn for a time.
He loved motorcycles and show cars and even raced sprint cars.
